Gairloch is a charming village set on the west coast, surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, and wild mountains. The awe inspiring Torridon mountain range acting as a dramatic back drop.
There is a good selection of shops in this small village as well as excellent restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance.
Sea temperatures are slightly elevated by an extension of the Gulf Stream, which passes this region and makes the climate more favourable than other inland areas of Scotland. This beautiful region of the North West Highlands is a unique area, where palm trees and rare plants flourish; the nearby sub tropical gardens at Inverewe bear testament to this and are well worth a visit.
